One of the most frequent questions we get asked from prospective customers is “but do you have my size?”. In most cases customers are stoked to hear that our range goes up to a 22 band and a J cup, with quite a few plus size sports bra options.
Small businesses are built on passion. And our passion lies in helping women of all shapes and sizes. Where most retailers chose to put the bulk of their stock in the ‘middle of the bell curve’ sizes, we choose differently – to offer a generous range of options in the generally 'hard to find' sizes.
With research advances in breast biomechanics and brands paying more attention to the diverse shape and size requirements of our population we’re seeing more and more stock available in the ‘plus size’ Sports Bra market, which is great news!
Before we get in to our ‘favourite’ Sports Bras for plus size I wanted to share some of my top tips for finding your best bra. Here goes….
Staying with ‘safe’ styles may not get you your best result
We find a lot of Sports Bras in sizes 18+ are developed as ‘low risk’ styles. Typically, these bras look like ‘sturdier’ everyday bras. They will feel comfortable immediately - because they are designed with similar features to an everyday bra. These styles are always the industries best sellers, but are unlikely to be your highest impact options.

Don’t be afraid to try a moulded cup
This one is often a challenge for our plus size Sports Bra customers, but I promise you there are plenty of ‘ah-ha’ moments in the change room when women challenge themselves with this one. A moulded cup is not designed to add volume in a Sports bra – trust me! The moulded cup (which some people will mistakenly refer to as a padded cup) is a great source of structure. It lifts, separates and holds the bust firmly.
Wire free is an option for plus size
We get plenty of “are you sure about that?” looks from customers when we propose this, but here is what you need to know… Underwire bras are designed to separate the bust, they will never be very compressive. Lots of ladies prefer to feel their bust compressed when working out. A compression style bra will work to suction your breasts to your body – so that they move in better alignment with your body. So if that’s what you are after then plan to bypass underwire and seek out your best wire free option. If well fitted, you WILL be pleasantly surprised.

Enell Sports Bra
Known worldwide as ‘Oprah’s favourite Sports Bra’… and if it’s good enough for Oprah, surely it’s good enough for the rest of us J
This style is all about maximum compression. The unique style is designed to take all the weight of the breast off the shoulders and transfer it on to the back. The back has a full coverage which leaves a smooth line under workout wear.
Avaialble up to a size 30 band, an approximately a H cup. This style actually uses a very different sizing system, so it’s important to take your measurements and see which size will best work for you. See the sizing chart in the product images.

Sculptresse Non-Padded Sports Bra
This Scultptresse Non Padded Sports Bra is the sister style to the Panache Sports Bra. Built with a very similar design but no moulded / foam cups. This style has a nice amount of compression for an underwire bra. The full coverage gives a great sense of security, without necessarily needing to cross the straps to get extra support - although the option is there. A truly fabulous plus size sports bra.
