The best everyday bras come in a few different styles. Here are the key things to know:

  • T-shirt: Designed to disappear, T-shirt bras provide a smooth silhouette beneath fitted clothing, often with moulded cups to provide nipple coverage and a natural, rounded look.

  • Underwire: One of the original bras for everyday wear and for good reason. Underwire bras provide support and a stunning shape, offering lift and definition for all sizes.

  • Wire-free: Many women prefer the wire-free feel and are surprised by how supportive modern wire-free bras can be. Utilising foam cups, wide bands, and supportive fabrics, wire-free bras are the perfect choice for those more relaxed days when you’re after something in-between.

  • Plunge: A great choice for deep necklines, plunge bras are a flattering lingerie style that offer support and comfort, even for bigger busts. Creating a natural lift and closer-set cleavage, plunge bras cut low and stay hidden, making them a go-to for low-cut tops and dresses, v-necks, and wrap tops.

  • Balcony: Featuring cups that cut lower than a traditional bra, a balcony bra (or balconette bra) creates a flattering neckline with a natural shape and lift, ideal for wearing beneath lower-cut outfits. (195 words)

Boobs come in all shapes and sizes. While some retailers continue to ignore that, at She Science, we’ve made it our priority to offer an extended size range for our customers, stocking A-K cups, with petite to extended bands available. How to Find the Right Everyday Bra

When it comes to bras, comfort comes first, and nine times out of ten, it’s our favourite faded, threadbare bra we reach for day after day, despite having a drawer full of other uncomfortable options. To stop you wasting money on bras you won’t wear, we’re sharing our expert advice on exactly what to look for in an everyday bra.

Starting with the band: many of us are so accustomed to wearing ill-fitting bras that we’re confused as to how tight a bra band should actually feel. Should it be snug, or is a bit of stretch best? Ultimately, your band should feel firm but not restrictive, and should lie flat across your back without riding too high or low. You should be able to pull the band out roughly 1 to 1.5 inches from your back; if you can pull it out further than that, your band is likely too big, and won’t offer the support you need.

Next, it’s time to find the right cup. Your everyday bra cup should sit flush against your skin, with no gaping, spilling, or underwire digging in. Depending on the style you opt for, your breasts should feel fully supported and comfortably enclosed within the cups.

Of course, comfort is the most important factor in selecting an everyday bra you’ll love for years to come. Choose high-quality, breathable, and soft fabrics, with straps that don’t slip or dig in. It’s also crucial to consider where you’ll be wearing your bra, and whether it will work with your wardrobe. If a bra is stylish but visible through your top, for example, it’s unlikely to be your daily go-to for the office. Think functionality over fuss, and thank us later.

Are your products listed in Australian Bra Sizes?

Generally yes our products are listed in Australian Bra Sizes.

However, some brands do not have the Australian size on the tag. Enell, Anita, Anita Active and Rosa Faia all fall in to this category.

It's important that you read the fitting notes in our product descriptions so that you can see if you need to adjust a bra from your usual size.

Can I get an Everyday Bra Fitting at She Science?

Yes, She Science know offer's a comprehensive of Everyday Bras in our Bra Fitting suite in Camberwell. You can book online here.

We allocate 30 minutes for an Everyday Bra Fitting at She Science, or 45 minutes if you book a Sports + Everyday Bra Fitting together. This time allows us to try 8 - 12 bras on depending on your style preferences and options available in your specific size.

What size Everyday Bras do you stock?

She Science offers cup sizes A-J and band sizes 6-22 in store and online.

Certain sizes will have limited products available as all sizes are not produced in every size. Sizes that fall on the ends of bell curve are typically most effected by this.

If you would like to know exactly what options we have in store in your size you are welcome to email us at info @ shescience.com.au

Plus Size Bras in Australia

Finding Plus Size Bras in Australia can be a challenge in some retail environments.

She Science has a broad range of options in size 18 - 22, with certain styles extending to a size 24.

Our cup sizes cater for A - J cup. Most size 18, size 22 or size 24 bras are available in D - G cup. There are fewer plus size options in a B and C cup, feel free to get in touch with our team via info @ shescience.com.au should you need some clarity on what styles are available in each size.

What is the most comfortable everyday bra?

Comfort depends on your style preferences and your unique buying history. Wire-free bras are generally softer for smaller cup sizes; larger busts often find structured underwire bras more comfortable as they distribute weight better. T-shirt bras with moulded cups are a popular everyday choice across all sizes.

How do I know my correct bra size?

Measure your underbust snugly for your band size and your overbust loosely for your cup size. The difference between the two measurements determines your cup. Keep in mind that many women are wearing the wrong size. If your band rides up or your cups gape or overflow, it's worth re-measuring.

How many everyday bras should I own?

Most fit experts recommend rotating between 3–5 bras. One to wash, one to wear and one to spare. This allows each bra to rest between wears, which extends the elastic life significantly. If you wash bras frequently, 2–3 quality bras can be enough.

What are the best everyday bras for large breasts?

She Science specialises in fuller bust sizing from D through to K cups. Brands like Panache, Elomi, Fantasie, and Freya are specifically engineered for larger cups and are available across our everyday bra range.
