What to Look For in a C Cup Sports Bra
The hunt for a C cup sports bra that feels tailor made for your body requires a few key considerations. Starting with your band fit. Look for a firm and even feel around the ribcage that stays put and doesn’t ride up your back. Next, think about what kinds of movement you’ll be needing your sports bra for. If your exercise of choice is high impact - think long distance runs or short bursts of cardio - the best choice is an encapsulation sports bra or a combination style, which gives better bounce control and separation. If you like a more structured feeling, underwire sports bras are a great C cup option, adding structure and lift without any bulk. When it comes to straps, cross-back or racerback styles give added support and help distribute weight more evenly across your shoulders, keeping your bra secure as you move.
If you prefer a less rigid feel and are a low to medium impact mover (think yoga, Pilates, cycling), then compression bras will keep you well supported. Similarly, a wire-free crop with a firm band might be all you need, depending on your preference.
The fabric of your C cup bra is also something to get right - unlike regular bras, sports bras need to be able to deal with sweat, so moisture-wicking materials are a must to help keep you cool, dry and comfortable throughout your workout.
While C cups have access to a broader range of sports bra styles, we’ve found many women still struggle to find smaller bands in a C cup. At She Science, we've made it a priority to stock these harder-to-find sizes, helping more women experience the comfort, support and confidence that comes from wearing the right sports bra.
